Beidaihe & Happy Island, China, 4th – 22nd May 2013, led by Mark Andrews, £2115pp twin share. A few places remain for our annual visit to the East Asian Flyway in spring, for the spectacular migration of many species known as vagrants in Europe, and all in spring plumage. Rubythroats, bluetails, thrushes, warblers, waders, it’s just birds galore! Add in some Chinese specialities and birds such as Ibisbill and a truly memorable trip awaits! We now include nearly all birding excursions and most food.
West African Pelagic, 5th – 13th May 2013, led by Simon Cook, cabin share from £1029*. This will be the second, and perhaps last, exploration of the seas between the Cape Verde Islands and Madeira for the foreseeable future. Our comfortable vessel will sail off the west coast of Africa, through the Canary Islands and via the Salvage and Desertas Islands too. Growing interest in the seabirds of Macronesia have meant new species along with a wide supporting cast. We saw over 10 species of whale and dolphin on the first voyage, a figure which could easily be exceeded. An excellent introduction to expedition cruising / wildlife voyages.
Greenland Whale Safaris, various dates in May & June 2013, cabin share now from £1189pp*. After a successful series of voyages in 2012, the sailing vessel Rembrandt will again explore the ice-choked waters of SW Greenland in early spring. The main target will be Bowhead Whales, which were seen in good numbers last year, and a good supporting cast of other Arctic wildlife can be expected too.

Iceland – Bird Photography NEW! , 4th – 7th June 2013, led by Steve Young, £1485pp twin share, in conjunction with Birdwatch Magazine. Join our first, small group photography trip, for an action-packed few days in Iceland. See and photograph many of it’s avian specialities, including stunners like Harlequin Duck in full spring plumage. The days will be long and light, perfect for the maxing your image taking.
North Atlantic Odyssey, Scotland to Spitsbergen, 10th – 19th June 2013, led by Dick Filby, cabin share from £1455*. A real expedition cruise which sails directly from the UK, a perfect introduction to the ultimate form of travel! Landings on legendary Fair Isle and uninhabited Jan Mayen Land are planned, and then onto Spitsbergen itself, in search of the ultimate Arctic predator, the Polar Bear, and a full supporting cast of Arctic birds and other mammals. This voyage has yielded some spectacular whale and dolphin sightings too, with Blue Whales and Belugas seen on both previous departures. Very limited availability.

Our ultimate Polar Bear quest, all our many previous departures have enjoyed multiple encounters and views.
